Pitch

In music, pitch means how high or low a sound is in comparison to other sounds. For example, take this note:

We would say that it has a high pitch, as it is higher than the majority of other notes. So, compare the next recording to the above one:

Can you hear how the first recording was higher in pitch than the second?

Now, listen to this recording:

That was just a very low pitched note; to be precise, the lowest note that exists on the piano. Can you hear the difference in pitch between these three recordings? The first was high in pitch, the last was low in pitch, and the middle recording was in-between.
